Navigation equipment, an eight-day marine chronometer, silvered dials with Roman hours, signed "Parkinson & Frodsham, Change Alley London 2174". One of the finest English makers. Timepiece housed in original brass-mounted mahogany two-tiered case with drop handles. Escapement: Earnshaw, spring detent. Power source: Spring drive with chain and fusee. Dimensions HxWxD: 20x18,5x18,5 cm. With case key. Equipped with a bone shield stating 'Resprung & Adjusted by H.G.Blair & Comp. Cardiff & Barry. Price 8.750,-- Euro. The makers: Parkinson & Frodsham, a firm trading in high-quality chronometers, clocks and watches, was established in 1801 by William James Frodsham (1778-1850) and William Parkinson (d. about 1842).
