A fine French carriage clock made and signed Paul Garnier, fire gilt case, no 1748, Paris circa 1840. Fire gilt bronze case with fine engravings, white email dial, blued steel hands, signed Paul Garnier, Horloger du Roi, Paris. Also signed on the back. Movement numbered 1748, equipped with’ two-plane’ escapement or ‘shaff cutter’ escapement. Petite sonnerie on two bells, also repetition and alarm clock mechanism. The original transport case. On the backside shutters and sliding panel. In original and excellent condition. HxBxD 14x10,5x8,5 cm (handle down). Price € 9.800, - Litt.
