A rare French Y-framed ‘great-wheel’ skeleton clock with balance wheel, ca. 1800. Attractive layout with the inverted Y-frame, great wheel, with large central sweep hands, ormolu bezel and ornaments to the base. A skeleton clock time piece with finely cut wheelwork, pin wheel escapement, second beat balance wheel, an 8 day movement. The appreciation for this type of clock corresponds with the visualized technical innovations. It is possible to get a glass dome. HxWxD: 39x22x11 cm.
