An Austrian Biedermeier bronzed and gilt carved wood figural striking mantel clock with blinking eyes, ‘Augenwender’, early 19th Century. The standing male Arabic figure playing bag-pipes, flanking the clockcase on rockwork, white Arabic enamel chapter ring with engine turned gilt-brass centre, moon hands, short duration twin barrel movement with anchor escapement and strike on gong; pendulum, winding key.
