No. 132. An excellent two day marine chronometer, no.5184, Barraud, London, c. 1890. The movement, durations 56 hours, is full plate chain fuse with four pillars. Earnshaw type spring detent escapement on an adjustable mount. Split Bi-metallic balance with shaped compensation weights, helical balance spring. Up and down indication. The three tier rosewood box with brass carrying handles. Signature on the dial Barraud 41, Cornhill, no 5184 London. Barraud was maker to the Royal Navy. All the wheel work and parts of this chronometer are original. Ivory plaque. Case and movement in very good condtion. BHD 18x19x18 cm. Price. € 6.500,--/ SOLD -------------
