Exceptional equation time table regulator, Verneuil Horloger, Mécanicien à Dijon, circa 1820. Fascinating regulator, the movement is mounted on a yellow Sienna marble base. In addition to the regular mechanical time, the clock also shows the true or so-called equation time. The clock with pinwheel escapement has a calendar work for displaying the months, days and signs of the zodiac. Striking mechanism on a bell for half hour and hours. The duration of the movement is several months. Decorative Ferdinand Berthoud compensation pendulum with temperature indication, time equation. The pendulum has a knife edge suspension. The invention of the equation time calculation dates back to 1754. The 'L'Académie des Sciences' in France then recognizes Ferdinand Berthoud's construction of a 'pendule à équation'. This regulator is a mechanical and aesthetic masterpiece that processes time variables - time, date, month, zodiac, equation - mechanically so that they become visible on this regulator.
