No. 084. Griesbaum singing bird box automaton, gold and enamel miniature painting, c.1900. The bird music box is guiled and finely decorated. The top and lid are decorated with a miniature idyllic landscape and flower bouquets. These are mounted on a light blue enamel surface. The painting is executed manually in enamel with an amazing precision and superior quality. The bird is artfully decorated with real feathers and an ivory beak.
