No 198. Important early French carriage clock, No 1512, in Breguet style, circa 1810. Mahogany case, white enamel dial, Breguet hands, Roman numerals. The winding holes are revealed by opening the engraved gilt bezel, 8 day movement, anchor escapement, quarter striking. Sliding up the rear wood panel reveals the back plate with the clock mechanism.
