The musical movement features 8 melodies, 4 engraved bells played by four hammers with birds, as well as a drum with 6 beaters.Engraved spring barrels. It plays 8 mostly operatic tunes, as listed on the decorative tune sheet. Music indication-music pointer. This is all contained within a beautiful burr walnut case, the lid with intarsia, marquetry using inlays in kingwood/bois de violette. Signature - Nicole Frères, no 47086, gamma 3335 - on tunesheet. It is a fine made box by a renowned maker, with a lovely sound and a pleasant selection of tunes. HxWxD 26x56x34 cm. SOLD
