Nr. 340. An early comtoise or Mayet clock, circa 1730, France . Eight day movement, verge escapement and pendulum Hour striking and half-hour striking-in-passing, alarm. The clockwork, striking and alarm trains are weight-driven. Dial-plate: The square cast-iron plate with brass chapter ring and black Roman numerals. Brass alarm disc in the center and brass chapterring with Arabic numerals. One brass hourhand. Brass cast shutters underneath the chapter ring. The case is made of cast iron crowned with a pierced brass fret and bell.HWD: 22,5x19 x13 cm. Total H 32 cm. SOLD € 7.500,--
